Instead of cluttering this place up...I'll ask the question here.
I can't believe the darn bowl broke at the downstem...had to chuck that away. I could seem to come up with a positive solution for a diy fix. Initially, I thought of molasses have firm up in the freezer to fix the break. That idea was squashed when I thought about a lighter. Melted molasses might be grand in a chocolate-chip cookie, not so much though had it began to liquefy though. Searing skin don't sound to great. I then thought super-glue, although the noxious fumes inhaled would more than likely fry more brain-cells than needed. Heck, it's already viewed as I am a fool, don't need prove them right lol.
I did a finger test with my pinky, it was snug fit. Inspected further, and it appeared that the hole was no bigger than a .10 piece. My guess is about 6-8 mm in diameter.
Despite the long-winded nature of this question, is there a sure-fire trick to knowing the exact diameter without stick my fingertip in a bowl in the shop????... *chuckles'n'smiles* Sure, I am an oddball. That's fukked up though lol
Thank you all for your thoughts, I am at a loss atm.

Spose you could always measure it with a ruler or some micrometers, those rulers with the little calipers on them that measure internal and external diameters.
I'd go with the finger in the hole test at the bong shop myself

yeah unless ya got a glass buddy to remelt they are almost almost impossible to repair. the super glue won't work. hack hack
i've cleaned them up "real good" and just carried it in to compare. use acetone or alcohol 2 soak off any residue. the problem with non standard glass is finding a fit. if it is a regular size they'll be able to fix ya right up.
buy the thickest you can afford. I've even dropped roor bowls on hardwood floors and not broken them. boy that was amazing. yikes!
